The A to Z list continues to find the top ten bands/artists in the alphabet. Y is upon us and needs help to complete the list. Note, I decided to skip X due to there being only 3 or 4 bands worth mentioning.

If you aren’t familiar with Head Wound City, they are made up of members of The Blood Brothers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and The Locust. In May they will release a new album called A New Wave Of Violence. These gents just released a single which included a cover of Ministry’s “Just One Fix.” It’s a really great cover, and captures the craziness of the original, all the while making it their own.

I’m not a fan of the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s at all but this version of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song” is fantastic. The arrangement from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross as well as the visuals from the opening sequence of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo make this great.
