Ultimate Set List: Sevendust

Sevendust-logo

Sevendust is one of my favorite bands. They have always put on a great live show. There is one thing about seeing Sevendust though that gets old and that’s their set list. They have been playing a lot of the same songs for so long that my want to see them these days isn’t all there. I was talking with a friend of mine the other day about what songs we’d want to see them play, and I knew that I was going to make this ultimate Sevendust set list. So without further delay, here it is.

Ultimate Set List: Bush

Bush.Logo

I thoroughly enjoy making these Ultimate Set Lists. It’s quite fun to think of a dream scenario where you get to pick all the songs (well up to 25) for a live show. One band I’ve been listening to a lot lately is Bush. Mainly I’ve been listening to their new single “Bullet Holes” from the John Wick 3 soundtrack. It’s such a rad song that takes me back to the Sixteen Stone and Razorblade Suitcase days. Currently, Bush is out on tour with Live as both bands are celebrating the 25 year mark of their albums Sixteen Stone and Throwing Copper. I was intrigued to go to the show but, not sure I really want to knowing that the setlist for both bands are rather short and kind of dull. So, I went ahead and made my own Ultimate Set List for what I’d love to hear Bush play live.

So, Slayer has annouced their absolute FINAL tour. They will be going out with quite the diverse line up featuring, Primus, Ministry and Phil Anselmo & The Illegals with the latter playing a set of Pantera songs. With this in mind, I thought now would be a good time to put together my ultimate Slayer set list.

Depeche-Mode-Logo-Vinyl-Decal-Sticker-2__78492__27749.1497937599

Depeche Mode is one of my favorite bands. Through the years, I’ve really come to admire the honest approach they take when they create albums. They’ve always stuck to their guns as to what they wanted to do and it’s paid off. All these years later and they are still putting out great music. This Ultimate Set List was a little difficult to make due to Depeche Mode having so many great songs but, I think I made one hell of a great set list.

Ultimate Set List: Radiohead

radiohead_bear_logo_black_by_shinji87The other day I was talking with a friend and he asked me what my top 10 favorite Radiohead songs were. When asked such a question I felt compelled to start making my Ultimate Set List for Radiohead. This one wasn’t easy but it wasn’t that difficult. I surely hope Radiohead has plans for a full US tour soon. It’s been too many years since I saw them last and I need my fix!

Ultimate Set List: Nine Inch Nails

03 - Nine Inch Nails

This is probably the most difficult Ultimate Set List I’ve made yet. I think I’ve made about 15 different versions of this set list. I usually give myself only 25 songs to make these Ultimate Set Lists but, for this one I had to go to 30 songs. It was seriously impossible to make it 25 songs. I actually could have made it longer too (I have one version that is 50 songs). Picking the songs wasn’t just the hardest part either, because there have been so many great players in Trent’s live band, picking those individuals was rather difficult too. Anyhow, here is my Ultimate Set List for Nine Inch Nails. What would be on yours?

Ultimate Set List & Tour: Killswitch Engage w/ Jesse & Howard and Darkest Hour

The Doors are in my top 5 favorite bands of all time. They are groundbreaking and beyond inspiring and influential. Over the years I’ve read so many books about them, watched documentaries, and even gone to see them individually and when they would play shows with Ian Astbury of The Cult as their singer. Naturally, one would assume that I have made my “Ultimate Set List” for The Doors years ago, which I did but, in order to fit within my guidelines for this category, I’ve had to shorten it a bit. With that in mind I present to you my “Ultimate Set List” for The Doors.
